In summer of 2017, Singapore issued a new e-communications mandate, allowing companies to publish annual reports electronically. This update encouraged Tangelo to revisit our research on annual reports and take a closer look at how Singapore compared to other global markets in the industry.

From our findings, we distilled the best tips for making PDF reports available online and highlighted the future of e-reporting.

At the Investor Relations Professionals Association of Singapore (IRPAS) event in August of 2017, Tangelo shared these findings and presented on the best reporting practices.

Here are the 10 do’s and don’ts of e-reporting:

  1. DO use clear filenames
  2. DON’T put two pages on an A3 page
  3. DO split the report into sections

  5. DO offer Excel downloads
  6. DON’T use internal Excel documents
